1. Overview

SkinColorAid respects your privacy. We do not collect, store, share, or sell your personal data. The app functions entirely offline on your device.

2. Screen Analysis Data

To provide color overlays, the App analyzes the pixels within the screen area you explicitly select.

  • Analysis occurs locally in your Mac's RAM.
  • No screenshots or image data are saved to your hard drive.
  • No image data is transmitted to any external server.
  • The data is discarded immediately after the overlay is drawn.

3. macOS Permissions

The app requires Screen Recording permissions. This is necessary for the app to "see" the pixels in the area you select to apply the color metrics (Exposure, White Balance, or Skin Hue). This permission is used solely for this local analysis.
